وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ثنا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ أَلَا لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تُعْطِيَ مِنْ مَالِ زَوْجِهَا شَيْئًا إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَا الطَّعَامَ؟ قَالَ ذَاكَ أَفْضَلُ أَمْوَالِنَا
English Translation
Abu Umamah said: 'I witnessed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) during the Farewell Pilgrimage and heard him say' — and he mentioned the hadith — 'Indeed, it is not permissible for a woman to give anything from her husband's wealth except with his permission.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, not even food?' He said: 'That is the best of our wealth.'
