وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا السَّهْمِيُّ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ بَكْرٍ ثنا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَأْتِي رَجُلٌ مَوْلَاهُ فَيَسْأَلَهُ مِنْ فَضْلٍ هُوَ عِنْدَهُ فَيَمْنَعَهُ إِيَّاهُ إِلَّا دُعِيَ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُجَاعًا أَقْرَعَ يَتَلَمَّظُ فَضْلَهُ الَّذِي مَنْعَ
English Translation
And Abu al-Hasan informed us... from Bahz ibn Hakim from his father from his grandfather who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'No man comes to his master and asks him for what he has in surplus and is refused, except that on the Day of Resurrection a large bald-headed serpent will be summoned for him, licking the surplus that was withheld.'
