أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَفْصٍ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ثنا يَعْلَى ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَرَادٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَسْقَى قَالَ اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيًّا تَوَسِّعُ بِهِ لِعِبَادِكَ تَغْرِزُ بِهِ الضَّرْعَ وَتُحْيِي بِهِ الزَّرْعَ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ الْأَشْدَقِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَرَادٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ وَزَادَ هَنِيئًا مَرِيًّا
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us... from Abdullah ibn Jarad, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say when seeking rain: 'O Allah, give us rain that is beneficial, plentiful, pleasant, by which You provide for Your servants, fill the udders, and revive the crops.' This is the wording of Abu Abdullah's hadith. In Ibn al-Harith's hadith, he said: Ya'la ibn al-Ashdaq narrated from Abdullah ibn Jarad... and added: 'wholesome and pleasant.'
