English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Nafi', that Ibn Umar used to go out to the Eid from the mosque and would raise his voice with takbir until he reached the prayer ground, and would continue making takbir until the imam came. The authentic version of this is narrated as the statement of Ibn Umar, not attributed to the Prophet. It has been reported from two weak chains as attributed to the Prophet.
