Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ And ʾAbū Saʿīd b. Abū ʿAmr > Abū al-ʿAbbās > al-Aṣam > Usayd b. ʿĀṣim > al-Ḥusayn b. Ḥafṣ > Sufyān > Abū Isḥāq > ʿĀṣim b. Ḍamrah > ʿAlī ؓ أَمَّا الَّذِي يُخَالِفُهُ فِي الظَّاهِرِ فَفِيمَا أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ إِلَّا الْفَجْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ
English Translation
Hudhaifah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "We were favored over people with three things: our rows were made like the rows of the angels, the entire earth was made a place of prayer for us, and its soil was made a purifier when we cannot find water."
