Abu Sa'id al-Malini informed us, Abu Ahmad ibn Adiyy al-Hafiz informed us, Ibn Sulaym informed us, Duhaym narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us from Sadaqah ibn Abdullah from Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Khawlani. He said: I heard Abu Qilabah al-Jarmi saying: Ten of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) narrated to me about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) — his standing, bowing, and prostrating — like the prayer of the Commander of the Faithful, meaning Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (may Allah be pleased with him). Sulayman said: I observed Umar in his prayer, and his gaze was at the place of his prostration. He mentioned the rest of the hadith, though it is not strong.
