أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ثنا ابْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الرَّجُلُ يَحْلِفُ عَلَى الْيَمِينِ ثُمَّ يَسْتَثْنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ قَالَ لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ حَتَّى يَظْهَرَ الِاسْتِثْنَاءُ كَمَا يَظْهَرُ الْيَمِينُ
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man makes an oath and then makes the exception silently in his mind, it is of no effect. The exception must be pronounced just as the oath is pronounced.
