أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ أَبَا خُزَامَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَاتِّقَاءً نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ يَرُدُّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهُ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللهِ 19599 وأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْفَارِسِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو خُزَامَةَ أَحَدُ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ أَبُو خُزَامَةَ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ سَعْدُ هُذَيْمٍ قُضَاعِيٌّ 19600 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ الْقَاضِي ثنا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَذَا قَالَ وَالْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَرُوِي عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَالْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ
English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki and Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan the judge informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Bahr ibn Nasr narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us, Amr ibn al-Harith and Yunus ibn Yazid informed me from Ibn Shihab that Abu Khuzamah narrated to him that his father narrated to him that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about medicine we treat ourselves with, and ruqyah we seek, and precautions we take - does any of that repel anything from the decree of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "That is part of the decree of Allah." And Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl al-Qattan informed us in Baghdad, Abdullah ibn Ja'far al-Farisi informed us, Ya'qub ibn Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, al-Layth narrated to me, Yunus narrated to me from Ibn Shihab, Abu Khuzamah, one of the Banu al-Harith ibn Sa'd, narrated to me, that his father informed him that he asked - and mentioned it similarly. Ya'qub said: Abu Khuzamah ibn Ma'mar al-Sa'di, Sa'd Hudhaym, a Quda'i tribesman. And Abu al-Husayn ibn Bishran informed us, Abu Amr ibn al-Sammak informed us, Hanbal ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ansari the judge narrated to us, Talhah ibn Yahya narrated to us from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Khuzamah Zayd ibn al-Harith, from his father that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) - similarly. The first is more correct. And Allah knows best. The Shaykh said: It was also reported from Ma'mar and Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq from al-Zuhri from Ibn Abi Khuzamah from his father, and the first is more correct.
