وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْغَسِيلِ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ أَتَانَا جَابِرٌ ؓ إِلَى بَيْتِنَا فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا تَدَاوَوْنَ بِهِ خَيْرٌ فَشَرَطَةُ حَجَّامٍ أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ لَذْعَةٍ بِنَارٍ تُوَافِقُ دَاءً وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ
English Translation
And Ali informed us, Ahmad informed us, Abbas ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, Abu al-Walid narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ghasil narrated to us, Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah narrated to us who said: "Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) came to our house and told us that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'If there is any good in your medicines or what you treat with, then it is in the incision of a cupper, or drinking honey, or cauterization with fire that matches a disease, and I would not like to be cauterized.'"
