أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْبَاغَنْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْغَسِيلِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ الرَّاهِبِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ خَيْرٌ فَفِي شَرْطَةِ الْحِجَامَةِ أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ لَذْعَةٍ بِنَارٍ وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ
English Translation
Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, Ahmad ibn Ubayd al-Saffar informed us, al-Baghandi narrated to us, Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Ghasil ibn Hanzalah ibn al-Rahib narrated to us from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah who said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "If there is any good in any of your medicines, then it is in the incision of cupping, or drinking honey, or cauterization with fire, and I would not like to be cauterized."
