وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ قَالَا ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْبَرَ أَصَبْنَا حُمُرًا خَارِجًا مِنَ الْقَرْيَةَ فَطَبَخْنَاهَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا إِنَّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْهَا فَإِنَّهَا رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَأُكْفِئَتِ الْقُدُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتَفُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا
English Translation
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ya'qub informed us, Muhammad ibn Nu'aym and Ahmad ibn Sahl narrated to us, they said: Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from Ayyub, from Muhammad, from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Khaybar, we obtained donkeys outside the village and cooked them. Then the caller of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called out: 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger forbid you from them, for they are an abomination from the work of Satan.' So the pots were overturned with what was in them while they were boiling."
