أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْحَارِثِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ لَأَنْ أُضَحِّيَ بِجَذَعٍ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُضَحِّيَ بِمُسِنَّةٍ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ وَرَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us, Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Harithi narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us from al-Walid ibn Kathir, Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn Qusayt narrated to me that Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib narrated to him that one of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "For me to sacrifice a young sheep from the ewes is more beloved to me than to sacrifice an older goat." Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Yasar narrated it from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn Qusayt from Ibn al-Musayyib from Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
