أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّد بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ دُعِيَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ هَذَا خَيْرٌ وَلِلْجَنَّةِ أَبْوَابٌ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاةِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّلَاةِ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجِهَادِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الْجِهَادِ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّدَقَةِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّدَقَةِ وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصِّيَامِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصِّيَامِ بَابِ الرَّيَّانِ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مَا عَلَى مَنْ يُدْعَى مِنْ تِلْكَ الْأَبْوَابِ مِنْ ضَرُورَةٍ وَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ يُدْعَى مِنْهَا كُلِّهَا أَحَدٌ؟ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Abu Muhammad al-Muzani, from Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Abu al-Yaman, from Shu'ayb, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Whoever spends a pair of anything in the cause of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise: O servant of Allah, this is good! Paradise has gates: whoever is from the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer; whoever is from the people of jihad will be called from the gate of jihad; whoever is from the people of charity will be called from the gate of charity; and whoever is from the people of fasting will be called from the gate of fasting, the gate of al-Rayyan. Abu Bakr said: No hardship befalls one who is called from those gates. He said: O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone who will be called from all of them? He said: Yes, and I hope you will be one of them, O Abu Bakr.
