أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ لَوْلَا آخِرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا افْتُتِحَتْ قَرْيَةٌ إِلَّا قَسَمْتُهَا كَمَا قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْبَرَ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us from Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Ja'far, from Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal, from his father, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, from Malik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: Were it not for the last of the Muslims, no village would be conquered except that I would divide it as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) divided Khaybar.
