أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَلَاءُ لُحْمَةٌ كَلُحْمَةِ النَّسَبِ لَا يُبَاعُ وَلَا يُوهَبُ وَرُوِيَ هَذَا مَوْصُولًا مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَلَيْسَ بِصَحِيحٍ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ مِنْ قَوْلِهِمَا وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَرِدُ فِي كِتَابِ الْوَلَاءِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى
English Translation
Abu Sa'id informed us: Abu Abdullah narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us: Ishaq informed us: Jarir narrated from al-Mughirah from Ibrahim: Ali, Zayd, and Abdullah all said: When the patron dies, the patronage goes to the closest male relative (asabah) of the patron, not to all his heirs.
