English Translation
Abu Bakr ibn Furak informed us: Abdullah ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us: Abu Dawud narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated from Amr ibn Murrah who heard Murrah saying: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Three things - I wish the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had clarified them for us; they would be dearer to me than red camels: the caliphate, the kalalah, and usury. I said to Murrah: Who doubts about the kalalah? Is it not one who has neither child nor parent? He said: They doubt regarding the parent.
