English Translation
Waki' told us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from Yazid ibn al-Asamm, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Trials will appear, chaos will increase, and knowledge will be lifted up." When Umar heard Abu Hurayrah say "knowledge will be lifted up," Umar said: "Indeed, it is not taken away from the hearts of the scholars, but rather the scholars pass away."
