حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ أَبِيهِ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَصْحَبُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جَرَسٌ وَلَا كَلْبٌ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, who said: Sharik told us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed the angels do not accompany a travelling party that has with it a bell or a dog."
