English Translation
[Ahmad] said: Asbat ibn Muhammad told us, who said: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When it is a day one of you is fasting, let him not speak obscenely nor act ignorantly; and if someone acts ignorantly toward him, let him say: 'I am a fasting person.'"
