حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ مِنْهُ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Khalid, from Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not dip his hand into his vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."
