حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Khubayb ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Hafs ibn Asim, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Islam will retreat to Madinah as a snake retreats to its hole."
