حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَلَاءُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى هُدًى كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلُ أُجُورِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ لَا يُنْقِصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَنْ دَعَا إِلَى ضَلَالَةٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الْإِثْمِ مِثْلُ آثَامِ مَنْ تَبِعَهُ لَا يُنْقِصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آثَامِهِمْ شَيْئًا.
English Translation
Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Hashimi narrated to us, he said: Isma'il - meaning Ibn Ja'far - informed us, he said: al-'Ala' informed us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever calls to guidance shall have a reward equal to the rewards of those who follow him, without that diminishing their rewards in any way. And whoever calls to misguidance shall have a sin equal to the sins of those who follow him, without that diminishing their sins in any way."
