حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ كِتَابًا بِيَدِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فَوَضَعَهُ تَحْتَ عَرْشِهِ فِيهِ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Sabiq narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "Indeed, Allah the Almighty wrote a book with His own hand for Himself before He created the heavens and the earth, and placed it under His Throne. In it is: 'My mercy has preceded My anger.'"
