حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَبْعَثَنَّكَ فِيمَا بَعَثَنِي فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُسَوِّيَ كُلَّ قَبْرٍ وَأَنْ أَطْمِسَ كُلَّ صَنَمٍ.
English Translation
It was narrated from Jareer bin Hayyan, from his father, that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said to his father I shall certainly send you on the same mission as the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent me: level every grave and destroy every idol.
