حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَوْرِ جَهَنَّمَ فِي كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ قِرَاءَةٌ فَمَا أَسْمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْمَعْنَاكُمْ وَمَا أَخْفَى عَلَيْنَا أَخْفَيْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ.
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah said: "Delay the prayer (until it cools down), for the intensity of heat is from the raging of Hellfire. In every prayer there is recitation; what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recited aloud to us, we recite aloud to you, and what he recited silently to us, we recite silently to you."
