English Translation
Suhayl ibn Abi Salih said: I went out with my father to Syria, and the people of Syria would pass by the people of the hermitages and greet them. I heard my father say: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Do not initiate the greeting of peace with them, and push them to the narrowest part of the road."
