وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي ابْنَ آدَمَ النَّذْرُ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَكُنْ قَدَّرْتُهُ لَهُ وَلَكِنَّهُ يَلْقِيهِ النَّذْرُ بِمَا قَدَّرْتُهُ لَهُ يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ يُؤْتِينِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ آتَانِي عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah said: A vow does not bring the son of Adam anything that I have not already decreed for him. Rather, the vow drives him to what I have decreed for him. Through it, something is extracted from the miser — he gives Me what he would not have given Me before.'
