حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ يَعْنِي الْأَشْيَبَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا دَرَّاجٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ { لَهُمْ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا } قَالَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يُبَشَّرُهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ هِيَ جُزْءٌ مِنْ تِسْعَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ النُّبُوَّةِ فَمَنْ رَأَى ذَلِكَ فَلْيُخْبِرْ بِهَا وَمَنْ رَأَى سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ لِيُحْزِنَهُ فَلْيَنْفُثْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَسْكُتْ وَلَا يُخْبِرْ بِهَا أَحَدًا.
English Translation
Hasan - that is, al-Ashyab - told us: Ibn Lahi'ah told us: Darraj told us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, from Abdullah ibn Amr, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said, concerning: For them are glad tidings in the life of this world: That is the righteous vision which the believer is given as good news; it is one part of forty-nine parts of prophecy. Whoever sees such a vision, let him relate it; and whoever sees other than that, it is only from Satan, meant to grieve him, so let him spit lightly to his left three times and remain silent, telling it to no one.
