مَضْرُوبٌ عَلَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ وَهَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَسْتَاذَ قَالَ هَوْذَةُ الهِزَّانِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَبِسَ الذَّهَبَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ يَلْبَسُهُ لَمْ يَلْبَسْ مِنْ ذَهَبِ الْجَنَّةِ وَقَالَ هَوْذَةُ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ذَهَبَ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ يَلْبَسُهُ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ حَرِيرَ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ ضَرَبَ أَبِي عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ ضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِ لِأَنَّهُ خَطَأٌ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مَيْمُونُ بْنُ أَسْتَاذَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ الصَّدَفِيِّ وَيُقَالُ إِنَّ مَيْمُونَ هَذَا هُوَ الصَّدَفِيُّ لِأَنَّ سَمَاعَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ مِنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ آخِرَ عُمُرِهِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
English Translation
Struck out. Ishaq ibn Yusuf al-Azraq and Hawdha ibn Khalifa told us, both said: Awf told us, from Maymun ibn Ustadh - Hawdha said: al-Hizzani - who said: Abdullah ibn Amr said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among my nation wears gold and dies while wearing it will not wear the gold of Paradise" - Hawdha said: "Allah has forbidden him the gold of Paradise" - "and whoever among my nation wears silk and dies while wearing it, Allah has forbidden him the silk of Paradise." Abdullah said: my father struck out this hadith, and I supposed he struck it out because it is a mistake; it is actually [narrated by] Maymun ibn Ustadh from Abdullah ibn Amr, without "from al-Sadafi" in it. And it is said that this Maymun is himself al-Sadafi, because Yazid ibn Harun's hearing from al-Jurayri was late in his life. And Allah knows best.
