English Translation
Sufyan narrated from Ata ibn al-Sa'ib from his father from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) to give him the pledge of allegiance. He said: I have come to pledge allegiance to you for migration, and I have left my parents weeping. He said: Go back to them and make them laugh as you made them weep.
