English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah told us: Abdullah ibn al-Ala', that is Ibn Zabr, told us: Salim ibn Abdullah told me, from his father Abdullah ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked, 'How is the night prayer performed?' He said: 'Two by two; and when you fear the approach of dawn, then pray witr with one rak'ah.'
