English Translation
Yunus told us: Hammad, that is Ibn Zayd, told us: Ayyub told us, from Nafi', from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said while delivering a sermon: "The upper hand is better than the lower hand; the upper hand is the one that gives, and the lower hand is the one that asks."
