English Translation
Rawh told us, Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsah told us, Ibn Shihab told us, from Salim, from his father, that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He said: That was mentioned to Umar, so Umar went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and informed him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Let him keep her until she menstruates another cycle other than this one, then becomes pure; then if he wishes to divorce her, let him divorce her as Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has commanded him, and if he wishes to keep her, let him keep her.
