English Translation
Affan narrated to us: Aban ibn Yazid narrated to us: Qatadah narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Babay al-Makki narrated to me, who said: I prayed beside Abdullah ibn Umar, and when he finished the prayer he struck his thigh with his hand and said: "Shall I not teach you the greeting of prayer as the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, used to teach us?" Then he recited to me these words - meaning the saying of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari in the tashahhud.
