حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي حَنْظَلَةَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ فِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَانِ قُلْنَا إِنَّا آمِنُونَ قَالَ سُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Abu Hanzalah: I asked Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, about the prayer while traveling. He said: "The prayer while traveling is two rak'ahs." We said: "We are safe, not in danger." He said: "It is the practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
