English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Nafi': Ibn 'Umar said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the pulpit; when I saw him I hurried and entered the mosque and sat down, but I could not hear until he came down. So I asked the people what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had said. They said: "He forbade [using] the gourd vessel and the pitch-lined vessel for making nabidh [a fermented drink] in."
