حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ وَالْأَسْوَدِ أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا مَعَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَحَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَتَأَخَّرَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ فَأَخَذَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ بِأَيْدِيهِمَا فَأَقَامَ أَحَدَهُمَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَالْآخَرَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَا فَوَضَعَا أَيْدِيَهُمَا عَلَى رُكَبِهِمَا وَضَرَبَ أَيْدِيَهُمَا ثُمَّ طَبَّقَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَشَبَّكَ وَجَعَلَهُمَا بَيْنَ فَخِذَيْهِ وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ حَدَّثَنَاه حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ وَعَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ فَذَكَرَهُ.
English Translation
Alqamah and al-Aswad were with Ibn Mas'ud when the time for prayer came. Alqamah and al-Aswad moved back, but Ibn Mas'ud took them by their hands and placed one of them on his right and the other on his left. Then when they bowed, they placed their hands on their knees, but he struck their hands away and clasped his hands together, interlacing his fingers and placing them between his thighs, saying: 'I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) do this.'
