حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ دِينَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْحَارِثِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ مَا صُمْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا صُمْتُ مَعَهُ ثَلَاثِينَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Sabiq told us, Isa ibn Dinar told us, my father told me that he heard Amr ibn al-Harith say: I heard Abdullah ibn Mas'ud say: "I did not fast twenty-nine days with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, more than I fasted thirty days with him."
