English Translation
Muhammad ibn Sabiq told us, Isra'il told us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from Alqamah, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The believer is not one who curses excessively, nor one who invokes curses excessively, nor one who is obscene or foul-mouthed." Ibn Sabiq said once, with the definite article: "bi-t-ta''an wa la bi-l-la''an."
