قَالَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا تَعُدُّونَ فِيكُمْ الرَّقُوبَ قَالَ قُلْنَا الَّذِي لَا وَلَدَ لَهُ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ الرَّقُوبُ الَّذِي لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ شَيْئًا.
English Translation
He said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "What do you consider to be the raqub (bereft one) among you?" We said, "The one who has no child." He said, "No, but the raqub is the one who has not sent forward any of his children before him [in death]."
