English Translation
Rawh told us: Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsah told us: Ibn Shihab told us, from Abu Sinan, from Ibn Abbas, that al-Aqra' ibn Habis asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, whether Hajj was required every year. He said: "No, rather one Hajj; whoever performs Hajj after that, it is voluntary. Had I said yes, it would have become obligatory, and had it become obligatory, you would not have listened nor obeyed."
