English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Abdullah ibn Uthman ibn Khuthaym, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Asma' bint Yazid, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Lying is not permissible except in three matters: a man's lying to his wife to please her, lying in war for war is deception, or lying to reconcile between people."
