English Translation
Muhammad ibn Salamah al-Harrani narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Umm Habibah bint Jahsh, that she suffered from prolonged bleeding (istihadah), so she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he commanded her to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for every prayer. She would come out of the basin and the redness of blood would be above the water, yet she would pray.
