English Translation
Yazid b. Harun told us: Muhammad — meaning Ibn Amr — informed us, from Ibrahim b. Abd Allah b. Hunayn, from Abu Murrah, the freedman of Umm Hani' — Muhammad said: I saw Abu Murrah; he was an old man who had lived to meet Umm Hani' — from Umm Hani', who said: I came to the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) in the year of the Conquest and said, 'O Messenger of God, I have granted protection to two brothers-in-law of mine, but my mother's son' — meaning Ali — 'claims he will kill him.' She said the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'We grant protection to whomever you have protected, O Umm Hani'.' Then water was poured for the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) and he washed, then wrapped himself in a garment, crossing its two ends over his shoulder, and prayed the duha prayer, eight rak'ahs.
