English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, he said: al-A'mash narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Urwah, from Aisha: Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman afflicted with prolonged bleeding and I never become pure - should I abandon prayer?" He said, "No. Avoid prayer during the days of your menstruation, then wash yourself and perform ablution for every prayer, then pray, even if the blood drips onto the mat." And Waki' also said: "Sit out the days of your (usual) periods, then wash yourself."
