حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّ نَافِعًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اقْتُلُوا الْوَزَغَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَنْفُخُ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام النَّارَ قَالَ وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَقْتُلُهُنَّ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Umayyah informed me that Nafi', the freed slave of Ibn Umar, informed him that Aisha informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Kill the gecko, for it used to blow on the fire against Abraham, peace be upon him." He said: And Aisha used to kill them.
