حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ } حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْهَا قَالَ قَدْ سَمَّاهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammad, meaning Ibn Salama, said: Abdullah ibn Abi Mulayka informed me: al-Qasim ibn Muhammad told me, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited this verse: 'It is He who has sent down to you the Book; in it are verses that are precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unclear. As for those in whose hearts is deviation...' until he finished it, then said: 'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has named them, so when you see them, beware of them.'
