حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ فَقُلْتُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ تَرَى مَا لَا نَرَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Ishaq told us: Ibn al-Mubarak told us, from Yunus, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from A'ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O A'ishah, this is Gabriel, peace be upon him, and he sends you his greeting of peace." I said, "And upon you, and upon him, be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings - you see what we do not see, O Messenger of Allah."
