English Translation
Abu Sa'id told us: Abu Awanah told us, from Umar, from his father, from A'ishah, who said: when the verse of choice was revealed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "I wish to mention something to you, concerning which you should not decide anything until you have consulted your parents." I said: "What is it?" He recited the verse of choice. I said: "Rather, I choose Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was pleased by that.
