English Translation
Bishr ibn Shu'ayb told us: My father told me: Muhammad said, and Yahya ibn Urwah informed me that he heard Urwah say: A'isha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Some people asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about fortune-tellers. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to them: "They are nothing." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, but sometimes they tell of something which turns out to be true." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "That word of truth is snatched by the jinn, who then whispers it into the ear of his friend like the clucking of a hen, and they mix into it more than a hundred lies."
